The QCU Robotics Team has qualified to represent the Philippines in the 2026 Asia-Pacific Robotics Competition to be held in Singapore this August. The team earned their slot after winning first place in the national qualifiers held at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
The team's robot, named "Agila," demonstrated exceptional performance in autonomous navigation, object manipulation, and problem-solving tasks. The robot was designed and built entirely by students from the College of Engineering and the College of Computing Studies.
"Qualifying for the international competition is a testament to the talent and ingenuity of our students," said team adviser Engr. Michael Torres. "We are confident that they will represent QCU and the Philippines with excellence on the international stage."
The university administration has pledged financial support for the team's participation in the competition, covering travel expenses, accommodation, and registration fees.
